About Heshela Newa Khaja Ghar

Newari flavours, homely hospitality.

Heshela Newa Khaja Ghar was born from a simple dream – to share the taste of Newari bhoye, street snacks and festival feasts with our friends and family here in Rockdale.

From Bara and Yomari to generous Nanglo sets, every dish is cooked the way our families have prepared it for generations – with patience, spice and a whole lot of love.

Our Story

A journey of flavour, family and Newari heritage.

What began as a small dream has now become a home for Newari cuisine in Rockdale. Heshela was founded with one purpose β€” to preserve the taste of Newari traditions and share them with the world.

Our recipes come straight from family kitchens in Kathmandu. Every Bara, Yomari, Aalu Tama and Samay Baji served here carries stories of festivals, gatherings and the warm hospitality our culture is known for.

For us, food is more than a dish β€” it’s identity, history and community. At Heshela, you don’t just eat Newari food, you experience it.
